Nepal: A Poetic Tribute

English POETRY

Arjun Ghimire

Nepal, a land of beauty and grace,
Nestled in Asia, a humble embrace.
Bound by giants—India, China’s might,
Yet soaring with proud in the world’s sight.

The Himalayas rise, their peaks divine,
Eight summits touch where heavens shine.
Glaciers and valleys, rivers that sing,
Nature’s masterpiece in every spring.

From frozen deserts to wetlands vast,
A mosaic of wonders, a land steadfast.
Hills of green and plains that yield,
Harvests golden from Terai’s field.

A flag so unique, its meaning profound,
Peace and courage in its folds abound.
A garland of flowers, united and strong,
In Nepal’s embrace, where all belong.

Sacred sites where pilgrims tread,
Pashupatinath’s blessings widespread.
Lumbini, where Buddha’s light was born,
A beacon of hope to a world forlorn.

Janak, Sita, Vyasa’s lore,
Arniko’s art, a cultural store.
Our warriors bold, their legacy bright,
Defenders of freedom, guardians of light.

A melting pot where cultures entwine,
Festivals bloom, traditions align.
Unity blossoms in diversity’s art,
Nepal’s harmony flows through every heart.

Yet shadows fall and struggles persist,
Nature’s gifts neglected, beauty dismissed.
Forests dwindle, wildlife fades,
The call for action in silence cascades.

But hope still prevails, steadfast and strong,
In Nepali hearts where dreams belong.
With wisdom guiding a just embrace,
We’ll heal the wounds, we’ll mend this place.

Oh Nepal, eternal, undivided, free,
A mother’s love, an endless sea.
Your spirit soars; your pride remains,
Your legacy shines through joys and pains.

With heart and mind, a future so bright,
We’ll crown your destiny in radiant light.
Nepal, you are our soul’s refrain,
Forever cherished, forever sustained.
