Hari Adhikari
Oh mother, Oh my mother, Oh my dear mother
You would be so restless my dear
When I were out of sight for a moment,
You would forget all pains and troubles
When you see me around and my movements
But alas! Why have you been lost now
Why you moved to the path unknown
Never to come back and how?
Oh mother, Oh my mother, Oh my dear mother
You gave me this precious life indeed
To defeat Death – the powerful one was a heroic deed
You wept silently to keep me happy and smiling
You filled my heart with nectar of life
That is so rejoicing,
Oh mother, Oh my mother, Oh my dear mother,
You always were behind me in my troubled times,
When I was in a pool of tears or in a cage as a captive,
Your deep lamentation was for me alone,
Alas! When I opened my eyes everything forever was gone!
Oh mother I pray thee allow me to be your ward forever,
Allow me to be your son in rebirths over and over again!
Oh mother, Oh my mother, Oh my dear mother!
